Donationware
So what the heck is donationware?
Simply put, it means you get to download Symptom Tracker Software without paying
a single penny up front. You still have the option to donate before downloading
but you don't have to. You can download and use the program, decide how much
it's worth to you, then come back and donate. You do NOT need a PayPal account
to donate.
Why are you doing this? Traditional sales methods for Symptom Tracker
Software just weren't generating enough sales so I decided to think way outside
the box.
There has to be a catch! What's the catch? You're right, there is a
catch. If lots of people download the program and nobody donates, then I'll have
to shut down the website. This obviously won't affect you if you already
downloaded the program but what about future MS patients who need help tracking
their symptoms? Or what if you run into problems and need some technical
assistance? It costs me money every month to maintain this website and I put a
lot of time and effort into writing a program that would actually be useful. If
I were independently wealthy, I would provide this program at no cost through
various MS organizations.
